The distinguished historian presents his much-anticipated second book examining one of the fundamental questions in American history: why did the southern states leave the Union and precipitate the Civil War? - 8 pm: Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra performs at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. As featured on Atlanta's local news, the 90-member orchestra is comprised of exceptionally talented young musicians from more than 40 high schools in the metro Atlanta area and is conducted by Emory's Richard Prior, 404.727.5050.
